How do I post a shift?

You can post a shift to your calendar from your mobile phone with the Clipboard Facility app or from your desktop through the web portal. 

• We recommend listing your shifts as soon as they're available, instead of waiting closer to the shift's scheduled date.
• The earlier your shifts are posted, the more likely they'll be booked. Particularly for NOC, weekend and holiday shifts.

To help you get your shifts booked by your favorite professionals, a Priority Access window opens whenever a shift is opened or re-opened. This gives professionals on your facility's Favorites List the opportunity to book your shifts before anyone else. Click to learn more about Priority Access.

How to post a shift

1. Open the Clipboard Facility app on your phone

2. Select the Shifts tab (bottom-left).
   
   
   
   
   
3. Select your desired worker type by choosing the appropriate calendar and click Post New Shift (top-right)
   
   
   Note: You have the option to Customize your Facility Shift Calendar.  If you select a new worker type not defined in your contract terms, you will be prompted to set and accept the new charge rate.
4. Fill out your shift details and select Post Shift to complete your listing.
   • Be sure to select the correct Shift Type according start and end of your shift:
     • AM = 12:00 AM-11:59 AM
     • PM = 11:00 AM - 10:00 PM
     • NOC = 10:00 PM - 3:00 AM
   • If you want to post multiple shifts without having to start the process over from scratch, leave the box checked next to "Post another shift", otherwise you can uncheck it.

Desktop instructions

1. Open the Clipboard Health web portal
2. Select Calendar from the menu bar (upper-left)
   
   
3. Select your desired worker type by scrolling through the options available above the shift calendar
   
   
   Note: You have the option to Customize your Facility Shift Calendar.  If you select a new worker type not defined in your contract terms, you will be prompted to set and accept the new charge rate.
4. Select a date from the calendar to set the shift's start-date, then select the shift's start-time (AM, PM, NOC) from the top-right shift panel. You can set custom hours by selecting the blue pencil icon instead.
   
   
   
   
5. Select Submit to finish posting your shift.

Should you need to post a shift at a custom start and end time, remember to change the times back to your standard shift times before posting shifts again.

When setting the shift start and end times for your shifts please ensure that you select the Shift Type that corresponds to your selected times.

Shift Types and corresponding times:

• AM = 12:00 AM-11:59 AM
• PM = 11:00 AM - 10:00 PM
• NOC = 10:00 PM - 3:00 AM
