When your ETA is 20 minutes later than the shift's start-time and the app confirms you are not on your way, we will send a time-sensitive notification to confirm your attendance in the app.
- Failure to confirm your attendance within 15 minutes of receiving this message will prompt the app to share your shift with the marketplace in order to find a replacement worker.
- If a replacement worker is booked, you will be notified and automatically unassigned from the shift.
This guide will show you how to confirm your attendance and what you can do to resolve a shift that has been reposted to the marketplace, before a replacement is booked.
How to respond
Upon receiving the notification below, you will have the option to confirm your attendance or cancel the shift.
- Confirming your attendance within 15 minutes of this notification will secure your shift and prevents the app from seeking a replacement.
- Cancelling a shift you cannot attend may lead to a lower Attendance Score penalty than failing to respond altogether.
To confirm your attendance

Tap the attendance confirmation notification to open the shift details.*

Review the shift details of your upcoming shift.

Tap the blue Confirm Attendance button.
*If you accidentally clear the notification, simply open the Clipboard Health app > tap My Shifts > select your upcoming shift > tap the blue Confirm Attendance button.
To cancel the shift
- Tap the attendance confirmation notification to open the shift details.
- Scroll down and tap Cancel this shift.
- Select a cancellation reason and provide more details as prompted.
- Tap the blue Cancel Shift button.*
If you miss the 15-minute window
The app will attempt to secure a replacement if you do not confirm your attendance within 15 minutes. However, you will not be unassigned from your shift until a replacement worker is booked.
As long as a replacement worker has not booked the shift, you can still confirm your attendance by performing either of the actions below:
- Confirm your attendance through the app by following the instructions detailed above.
- Start driving towards the shift (Location Services must be enabled).
When a replacement worker is booked
If you do not confirm your attendance and a replacement worker is booked, you will be notified and automatically unassigned from your shift. Our team may also enforce a "No-call, No-show" penalty upon confirming your failed attendance.
When a replacement worker is not booked
If you do not confirm your attendance and a replacement worker is not booked, you may still be subject to being sent-home without pay due to your late arrival. Please read this article to learn more about late arrivals.
