Your Attendance Score is key to accessing shifts in the Clipboard Marketplace. Attendance Score determines which facilities make their shifts available to you. Here's how it works and what recent updates mean for you.

New Updates for Certain Areas
If you're in Portland-Vancouver-Hillsboro OR-WA, Cincinnati, OH-KY-IN, or Philadelphia-Camden-Wilmington PA-NJ-DE-MD, your Attendance Score now starts at 30 points. Don't worry, you can still earn up to 100 points, but your starting score has changed. This update only affects users in these areas.

How Attendance Score Works
All accounts start with a maximum score of 100 points. You earn and lose points while using the Clipboard Health Marketplace. As long as your score is above 0, your account status remains unaffected. If it drops to 0 or below, your account gets restricted. Restricted accounts can only access shifts at facilities that added them as a Favorite.
All active accounts, including redistricted accounts, can still receive and accept Shift Invites directly from facilities to book shifts.
Earning and Losing Points
You earn points by completing shifts and clocking in on time. Canceling shifts, arriving late, or not completing a booked shift will cause you to lose Attendance Score points.
*Points cannot be earned while restricted.
Knowing Your Score
Make sure you know your current Attendance Score and how many points will be lost before canceling a shift. We always let you know the number of points that will be deducted before you commit to canceling your shift. After tapping Cancel, you'll see how many points will be lost and asked to confirm the cancellation.
You can check your Attendance Score in the app anytime. Tap Ratings, then My Attendance Score, and finally, See Details for info on points.
Shift cancellations
The number of points deducted is determined by how far in advance you cancel the shift. The earlier you cancel a shift, the fewer points will be deducted from your score.
Make sure to cancel your shift if you can't make it. Missing a shift without canceling or canceling after the start time can result in a No Show point deduction and automatic account restriction. Your shift may also be marked a No Show if you leave without completing the shift.
Please be mindful of your bookings and cancel ahead of time if needed, we recommend booking no more than 6 shifts at a time to avoid last-minute cancellations.
Tardiness deductions
If you clock in late to a shift on the app, you'll receive an Attendance Score deduction at the end of the shift.
If you forget to clock in on time but still arrive on time, you won't get a Lateness point deduction as long as your Location Services are enabled correctly. Lateness deductions don't apply to shifts booked within 4 hours of the start time or to the second consecutive shift at the same facility.
Lateness point deductions are applied after Attendance Score bonuses for completing a shift.
If you have received a Lateness point deduction, you'll get a push notification and an alert in the Notification Center.
If you'd like to see individual point deductions, you can find a point deduction table on the My Attendance Score page of the Clipboard Health app.
Account Restrictions
Booking Shifts
During an account restriction, you can only access or keep shifts at facilities that have added you to their Favorites list. However, this does not prevent you from receiving and accepting Shift Invites directly from facilities that want to request you for shifts.
Standard Restrictions
A standard restriction means your account is restricted for only 7 days. During this time, facilities can add you to their Favorites list by giving you a 4 or 5-star rating.
Recurring restrictions:
If your account becomes restricted for a third time in 6 months, your account will be restricted for 365 days instead of 7. Under a 365-day restriction, your account cannot be added to a facility's Favorites list.
You can see the date that your restriction ends by tapping Ratings followed by My Attendance Score” and then See Details in the Clipboard Health App.
Earning Points
Regardless of the restriction type, you cannot earn points while your account is in restricted status.
Accidental Bookings
As of September 12th, 2024, all professionals have 5 minutes to cancel an accidental booking so long as you cancel the shift at least 8 hours before the shift's start time.
There will be an “Undo booking” button in place of the “Cancellation” button with a countdown representing the remaining time you have to cancel without penalty. Tap the undo button and confirm your cancellation within 5 minutes to cancel an accidental booking without penalty.
If you cancel a shift more than 5 minutes after booking or within 8 hours of the shift's start time, your Attendance Score will be penalized and you will not be able to dispute it. |
