All facilities have the ability to check a professional's arrival status with the Worker ETA feature via the web or mobile app. This feature becomes available 1-hour before the shift's start time.
Note: To prevent being understaffed on short notice, some facilities prefer to contact the professional to arrange a late arrival instead.
Sending home a late professional
You have the option to send a professional home via the app. You will not be charged for sending a professional home if the Worker ETA shows the professional arrived 20 minutes (or more) after the shift's start time.

If there is no Worker ETA on the shift, please either use the "Worker no show" option or call support to send a late arrival home.
You can confirm whether or not a charge will be applied in the pop-up window to confirm sending the professional home.

To send the professional home via the app:
- Locate the shift on your calendar.
- Open the shift card.
- Select Send home.
Reporting an NS
Your facility can process a no-show (NS) via the web or mobile app as soon as the shift begins.
How to NS via the Worker no show button:
- Open Clipboard Health in the web portal or mobile app.
- Select the shift in your calendar.
- Expand the shift card.
- Select "Worker no show".
- Add the details of the NS event in the text box provided.
- Tick the box to confirm that you understand that marking a shift as a NS will result in an attendance penalty to the professional's account.
- Click "No Call No Show" to finalize the process.
When you process a no show, you can request an Urgent Shift to find you a replacement. This option is available for the first 2 hours of the shift. To learn more about requesting an Urgent Shift, click here.
Reversing an NCNS
If the professional who booked your shift arrives after you reported an NS, and you would like them to complete the shift after all, please contact our support team to add them back to the shift.
