Workers utilizing our platform are expected to arrive on time and ready to work at their shift’s scheduled start-time. This article will cover what you should do and what you can expect if you are running late to a shift.
Contact the facility
If you are running late to your shift, we recommend that you contact the facility as soon as possible to let them know you are on your way. While a facility is not required to accept your late arrival, this common courtesy is more likely to result in a favorable outcome. This record of communication may also help us make a decision in the event of a related dispute.

Confirm your Attendance
Depending on your status, you may receive an Attendance Confirmation message prompting you to confirm your attendance in the app. We recommend that you enable notifications to avoid missing this message, as failure to confirm your attendance may lead to your removal from the shift with an attendance score penalty. Confirming your attendance does not guarantee the facility will accept your late arrival, it simply ensures your shift does not get reposted to the marketplace.

What happens next?
You are expected to be on time, so if you arrive after your shift's start-time, the facility reserves the right to decline your attendance upon arrival. Following the guidance above is not a guarantee that a facility will accept your late arrival, but it certainly increases your chances.
- If the facility accepts your late arrival, you will clock in and work your shift as scheduled.
- If the facility declines your late arrival, you will not be allowed to work this shift and will instead receive a "No-call, No-show" (NCNS) penalty to your Attendance Score.
Note: Being sent home due to a late arrival does not qualify as a valid sent-home event. You will not be eligible for a sent-home payment.
