How to use Facility Chat
The chat feature allows you to communicate with any facility where you have an upcoming shift or shift in-progress.
- Open the Clipboard Health app
- Select My Shifts (bottom-center)
- Locate your shift and select the "Facility chat" button
- Type your message and hit send to begin your chat with the facility.
Understanding your "channels"
Channels are basically an individual chat room between you and the facilities you've booked.
- A channel is created between you and a facility from the moment you book their shift.
- Only one channel is created per facility. So even if you have multiple shifts at one facility, all conversations with that specific facility will be under one single channel.
The channel between you and the facility will remain active for 30 days after you booked the shift and is disabled thereafter.
- The chat history will still be available for you to read.
- The channel reactivates when you book another shift at that facility.
Managing notifications
Customize your notification preferences to receive push-notification (in-app), SMS (text) or both.
- Open the Clipboard Health app
- Select My Account (bottom-right)
- Select Privacy and Notifications then Notification Preferences*
*iOS users may also need to open their phone Settings > Notifications > Clipboard Health > Enable.
Troubleshooting
The chat feature is only available at facilities where you have booked a shift during the last 30 days. If the facility requested a DNR, you cannot contact the facility via the chat feature.
If you booked a shift within 30 days at a facility and you can't send this facility a chat message, please contact our Support team for assistance by chatting with live support through our mobile app.
