A drug test is not required to join the Clipboard Health platform. However, some facilities may require a drug test in order to book a shift at their particular facility (Clipboard Health will cover the cost of the drug test). We recommend that you read the entirety of this article prior to agreeing to work at a facility that requires a drug test.
Facility drug screening
If a facility requests a drug test in order to work a shift, you can request one by reaching our support team and providing the following details:
- Your full name
- Your email address
- What facility is requested the drug test?

Be sure to include a note indicating that you would like us to help you coordinate a drug test.

Consequences of a positive test
- If you have a positive confirmatory test on any drug screen, your work with all Facilities will be terminated and you will be ineligible to work for Clipboard Health's Facilities until you complete a two-year suspension.
- The consequences of a positive drug test result may apply even if a state has permitted medical or recreational use of such drug. You may submit a prescription and our Documents team will have to validate it within 24-72 hours. Here's a guide on how to upload your supporting documents.
- If you believe a drug test has yielded a “false positive” - please reach out to the Medical Review Officer (MRO):
Hours: Monday-Friday 7:00 AM-7:00 PM CST
MRO Services: 888-382-2281
