Earning money on your own terms through Clipboard Health begins with downloading our app and registering as a healthcare professional. Our app allows you to create an account, upload your license, set up your payroll and complete other important tasks that are required to get started.
Step 1: Download the Clipboard Health app on Android or iOS to register (you're here)

Once you have downloaded the app, you can follow the prompts on your screen to complete your registration and payroll setup.
What you’ll need:
- Your name, email and home address to create your account.
- Your license # and expiration date.
- A few minutes to read our Independent Contractor Agreement
- Your bank account information or a debit card and SSN.
After completing your registration (Step 1) and setting up your payroll (Step 2), you’ll be automatically redirected to the app where you can begin Step 3 and begin uploading your documents.
Note: The steps below only apply if you are following the quick-start prompt immediately after downloading the app. If you skipped the initial payroll and document prompts after registration, scroll to the top of this article and select the step where you left off under "Sign-up guide" for alternate instructions.
Uploading your documents
The documents you need will vary depending on the role you selected, as well as the state you’ll be working in.
- Select a document from the list
- Select “Add Photo” to choose a photo, then “Finish and upload”.
If you don’t have all of your documents at this time, you can scroll down and hit “Continue” to add them at a later time.
Complete a background check
Select Email me an invite to receive your background check invitation. If you do not see an email invitation, click here.
You’re all set!
