After a timesheet is signed at the end of a shift, the signer can immediately provide performance feedback on the worker. If a worker's performance did not meet your workplace's standards, the signer can flag them for review — directly from the timesheet signing flow, without a separate email, call, or form.
Note: This is an experimental feature currently available in New York and Portland only.
Providing Feedback at Timesheet Signing
When a manager, charge nurse, or other authorized signer completes the digital timesheet at the end of a shift, three performance options are presented
| Option | What It Means |
| Performed well — keep booking | The worker met expectations. No further action is needed. |
| Flag for review — stop booking | The worker's performance was below expectations. The worker is highlighted in the web portal for further review. |
| Not sure / skip | No feedback is provided for this shift. |
Selecting Flag for review captures the concern immediately at the point of timesheet signing.
Reviewing a Flagged Worker in the Web Portal
When a worker is flagged, an action banner appears at the top of your Schedule page.
The banner summarizes:
- Which worker was flagged
- Which shift triggered the flag (date and time)
- Any upcoming shifts already assigned to that worker
From the banner, you have two options:
- Do Not Return (DNR) — Permanently block the worker from booking shifts at your workplace. If the worker has upcoming shifts, coverage protection activates automatically (see below).
- Dismiss banner — Remove the alert without taking action. Any team member at your workplace can dismiss the banner. It will not reappear unless the worker is flagged again on a future shift.
Coverage Protection
If you select Do Not Return for a worker who has upcoming booked shifts, Clipboard automatically boosts and re-promotes the affected shifts in the marketplace to help maintain your fill rates. Nearby workers who meet the shift qualifications are notified, so coverage is not disrupted.
