Where can I find on-call shifts?
CNAs in Cleveland can book on-call shifts using a CNA on-call license. Only the most reliable HCPs get access to on-call shifts, and you must be invited to receive an on-call license (you can't get one by contacting support).
If you have an on-call license, you can find on call shifts where you find all your other shifts if you're on the newest version of our app. They'll be at facilities with the words "on-call" in their name.
If you're on the old version of the app, you can navigate to on-call shifts by clicking the CNA filter at the top of your calendar, and switching your license to CNA On Call.
If I have a CNA on call license, do I need to do anything?
Nope! This license is only more access to shifts and earnings. You can book on-call shifts to gain access to shifts and pay that would be otherwise difficult to find.
What happens if I book an on-call shift?
We’ll search for shifts in your region that start near to your on-call period. If we find a matching shift in your region at a workplace that you're qualified for, we will give you a call and a text to let you know that we found a shift for you. The call and text will come during the first few hours of your on-call shift. We'll only assign you to the shift if you respond, but if you don't respond we may put your on-call license under review and remove you from the program.
Am I “on-call” for the full duration of the shift I book?
Not quite! You’re “on-call” during the first three hours of your on-call shift. We’ll do our best to match you with a shift that starts close to your “on call” shift start. We’ll give you a call when we found a shift for you, and we ask that you’re ready to go as soon as your on call shift is scheduled to start.
Do I need to go anywhere when I book an “on-call” shift?
No. When you book an on-call shift, you can wait at home. Just make sure you’re ready to receive a call from us during your shift. When we have a real shift ready for you, we’ll give you a call and assign you into a real shift if you confirm you’d like it. When we assign you, please be prepared to immediately start going to the shift we assigned.
Do I get pay if I don’t get a real shift and I’m booked on-call?
Yes! You’ll get paid for two hours of your on-call shift rate. You’ll get this payment via a bonus to your stripe account, which you should see show up within a week. If you refuse all the placements we offer you, we'll be unable to pay you the no placement bonus.
Which facility am I “on-call” for when I book an on-call shift?
You’re on call for a bunch of facilities. You select a region of Cleveland (West, Northeast, or Southeast), and you'll be on call for facilities within the region you choose. You can be assigned to any facility within that region that posts a shift that matches your on-call shift.
Where do I have to go for West, North and South?
Facilities in the west region are in Blue. Facilities in the South region are in pink. Facilities in the North region are in purple. Sometimes we're unable to find an exact need in the region, but we'll try and find you another facility. Usually the shifts we find are a 30-45 minute drive away.
How much do I get paid when I’m reassigned to a real shift?
You get paid the rate on the on-call shift you’ve booked, regardless of which facility you get assigned to. We’ll take care of all of that for you.
What if I don't want the real shift?
If you reject an on-call shift in the region and time you signed up for, we’ll remove your on-call license. There are no other penalties for refusing an on-call assignment.
Do I get sent home pay if I get reassigned to a real shift and the facility sends me home?
You'll be provided sent home pay via the normal procedures.
