The Skills Assessment is a video-based evaluation that tests key CNA skills. To take the assessment you’ll start by scheduling a live session at a specific time to answer questions in real-time. The assessment takes 10-20 minutes to complete.
Who Needs to Take the Assessment?
- CNAs who are new to Clipboard:
- You can complete the Skills Assessment by going to the “My Account” page and tapping into “Skills Assessment”.

- CNAs who have booked shifts on Clipboard:
- You can complete the Skills Assessment by going to the “My Account” page and tapping into “Skills Assessment”.
- You’ll have seven days to complete the assessment once notified. After that time you'll need to schedule and pass the assessment in order to book shifts.
How Does It Work?
- Schedule a time to take the assessment using the “Skills Assessment” page in the app. It's recommended to schedule the assessment as soon as you're able to take it to reduce the length of time you may need to wait to book shifts.
- Choose a time that works for you—available slots range from 4 hours to 7 days from when you book.
- Join the live session at the scheduled time, where you’ll answer the assessment questions. It’s important that you join at the time you scheduled so that you can pass.
What happens if I can't join at the time I scheduled?
It's important that you join the assessment for the time that you've scheduled. If you're unable to make the scheduled time, reschedule the assessment in the "Skills Assessment" page as soon as you're able to. Rescheduling is not allowed within an hour of your scheduled time.
