What Is A-Team and Priority Plus Access? How is it different from Favorites and Priority Access?
A-Team/Priority Plus Access is the upgraded version of Favorites/Priority Access.
A-Teams and Favorites lists are very similar: they are lists of professionals that facilities choose to give first access to their shifts. But there are 2 main differences between the systems:
- Facilities are only allowed 5-15 slots for their A-Team (Favorites were unlimited)
- A-Team members receive Priority Plus Access to shifts (with Favorites, it was just called Priority Access), receiving instant notifications and first look at shifts when the facility posts
In essence, we're renaming Favorites/Priority Access and making the system more exclusive.
Why was A-Team/Priority Plus created?
A-Team and Priority Plus Access were created based on customer feedback. Professionals and facilities alike were telling us that there were too many professionals on facility Favorites lists. As a result, facilities weren't getting the quality and continuity of care they expected, and professionals felt that Priority Access wasn't truly "Priority."
The limited size of an A-Team gives facilities better control over who books their shifts, and it gives professionals on A-Teams more flexibility and power over their work.
What happened to my “Favorite” status?
If you live in one of the test areas noted above, then Favorites has been replaced by A-Team in your area.
Since A-Teams have limited slots (Favorites were unlimited), there often isn't enough room for all of a facility's old favorites to be on their A-Team. This means you likely will not be an A-Team member at every facility that favorited you, and you will not get Priority Plus Access to shifts that you may have had Priority Access to previously.
This change enables facilities to truly prioritize their most trusted professionals, and ensures you’ll have even more exclusivity at the facilities where you’ve worked hard to develop good rapport and reliability.
How do I become a part of a facility’s A-Team so that I have Priority Plus status?
Facilities are encouraged to fill their A-Team roster with professionals who they believe will deliver the highest quality of care. Facilities have a limited number of professionals on their A-Team, unlike Favorites. If you would like to join a facility’s A-Team, we recommend having a conversation with the facility and see what you can do to gain access to the Priority Plus benefits at that facility!
Why do I still see regular Priority Access shifts (without the "Plus")?
Regular Priority Access has not gone away! It is just a step below Priority Plus Access, which is reserved for the facility's A-Team.
You'll still see Priority Access shifts at facilities that are still using the Favorites system (outside A-Team test areas) or if you have a high Clipboard Score (the upgraded Attendance Score system, which is launching alongside A-Team in most areas).
In practice, this means shifts posted by facilities get shown in the following order:
- Workers on the A-Team will see shifts first (Priority Plus Access),
- Workers with high Clipboard Scores will see shifts second (regular Priority Access)
- Everyone else will see shifts third.
How do I know which shifts have Priority Plus Access?
Shifts available to professionals with Priority Plus Access will be highlighted with a purple hue.
How do I know where I have Priority Plus status?
You will receive a notification via the Clipboard app whenever a facility has given you Priority Plus status by adding you to their A-Team. You can also view which facilities have given you Priority Plus status by opening the Status tab in the mobile app and selecting Priority Plus.
What happened to my “Favorite” status?
Favorites/Priority Access has been replaced by A-Team/Priority Plus Access in select markets, so your Status page will no longer show the facilities where you are Favorited. Facilities located in these select markets will no longer be able to select an unlimited number of Favorites. Instead, these facilities will select a limited number of their best professionals for Priority Plus status, giving them first access to their posted shifts.
This change enables facilities to truly prioritize their most trusted professionals, and ensures you’ll have even more exclusivity at the facilities where you’ve worked hard to develop good rapport and reliability.
What happens to my Priority Plus status if I am restricted?
Your Priority Plus status will not be impacted if you are restricted and you will not be unassigned from future shifts where you have that status.
However, for facilities where you do not have Priority Plus status:
- You will be unassigned from future shifts.
- You will be unable to book new shifts during your restriction unless the facility adds you to their A-Team or sends you a Shift Invite.
Please note that while no shows and late cancellations will not automatically remove you from a facility's A-Team, they may choose to remove you at their discretion.
