Who can use this feature?
Custom Rates feature is now available in all markets!
Your facility must also have either variable charge or rate negotiation, (or both) turned on in order to use this feature. Corporate facilities with fixed rates are excluded.
The following user roles will have access to this feature:
- Administrator
- Staffing Coordinator with the 'can edit shift rate' permissions
If your facility has not enabled editing rates on regular shifts but is interested in editing rates on shift invites, please reach out to zack.liu@clipboardhealth.com.
How it works
From the desktop portal, you have the option to boost the rates on the shift invite(s) you are about to send. *This feature is not currently available for mobile*
{{blue-start}}
You can choose to apply an extra charge and boost the pay, minus a service fee. The Custom Rates widget adds the extra charge and extra pay to the base rates of the shift(s).
You do not need to input the total rates, only the additional charge portion. The rates in the text boxes are not the total charge and total pay of the shift invite(s).
{{blue-stop}}
- For example, if you choose to boost a shift with an extra $4 hourly charge rate per invite; the professional will receive an extra $3 hourly pay rate on the base rates of these invite(s).
What happens if the invite is declined or expires?
If you select the option to post a declined or expired invite as an open shift:
- That open shift will not carry custom rates
- You will not be charged extra according to the custom rate
- The professional who claims the shift from the marketplace will not see or receive the custom rate
If the professional accepts an invite with a custom rate and later cancels it, the shift will lose the custom rate and will instead be available to other professionals at the standard rate determined by the app’s pricing engine.
