This feature allows Administrators to limit the maximum number of hours that a professional can book at your facility.
How do I set a maximum hours restriction?
In the Management section of your Clipboard Health desktop portal, under Schedule Preferences there are two options available to set:
- Double shift restrictions
- Maximum hours worked in a week
Breaks do not count towards total hours worked.
When max hours restrictions are set, a professional will only be able to book shifts that do not breach this setting at your facility.
- For example, if you have enabled the double shifts restriction, when a professional books an AM shift at your facility, they will no longer see any other shifts at your facility within one hour of that AM shift. So they would not be able to book AM and PM shifts back to back.
How do I bypass a max hours restriction if needed?
We understand that sometimes you may need more coverage for certain shifts. If you wish to make an exception to this setting (perhaps they've mentioned they cannot see the shift you want them to pick up), you could do so by sending a shift invite!
Professionals will be able to accept invites that breach any max hours restrictions. Also, this setting only affects the professional's visibility of open shifts. If a professional is already working a shift and you need them to extend their hours, they can simply clock out as normal when the shift is over.
I don't have access to Management settings, how can I set max hours restrictions?
Max hours restrictions are categorized under "time-clock settings" and are only accessible to Administrator user role permissions. If you do not have access, please reach out to your admin. Clipboard support will not be able to assist if you do not have admin permissions.
If you are an admin and need assistance with this feature, please contact support.
