{{accordion-start}}
What if the facility wants to cancel my shift?
{{accordion-split}}
Select Medical facilities are able to cancel shifts due to low census once every four weeks or up to three (3) shifts during the duration of your assignment. If the facility cancels your scheduled shift less than two hours prior to the start of the shift, you will be compensated for two hours based on your current shift rate once confirmed by the facility.
Note: This is only applicable for full-time assignments. Candidates in PRN contracts are not eligible for any cancelation compensation. Voluntarily canceled shifts and shifts that are booked more than the required number of shifts during the work week of Friday - Thursday also don't count toward compensation.

What if I need to cancel my shift?
{{accordion-split}}
You must notify the facility and your recruiter at least 24 hours prior to the start of the shift so they are aware of the cancellation. Please be reminded that three (3) shift cancelations are considered excessive and may result in your assignment being terminated due to poor attendance.
Note: If you have a Requested Time Off, you have to provide this to your recruiter before the start of your assignment to ensure this gets communicated with the facility in advance.

What happens if you did not show up for your shift and did not notify anyone?

Failure to attend your scheduled shift without notifying the facility and your recruiter is considered a No-Call-No-Show and may result in the immediate termination of your contract.

Does Select Medical Facilities pay overtime?
Yes. Overtime Pay is only applicable for shifts worked more than 48 hours for the work week of Friday to Thursday. It will be 1.3x of your current shift rate (Ex. Rate is $70, Overtime Rate is $91). If you decide to pick up more shifts to earn overtime, make sure to notify your recruiter so the shifts can be added to the Clipboard Health app with the updated overtime pay rate.
Do we get paid extra for holidays?
Yes. Holiday Pay will be added to your shift. It will be 1.3x of your current shift rate. Holiday starts at 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM on the day of the holiday.
Note: Holiday Pay only applies to the following days: New Year's Day, Christmas Day, Independence Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving Day.
Are we eligible for bonuses offered by the facility?
No. The bonuses offered by the facility for picking up extra shifts are only applicable to in-house staff and not to engaged candidates.
Do we get employee benefits if we get accepted for a contract?
Healthcare Professionals are considered 1099 independent contractors and are not employed by Clipboard Health. Thus, we do not provide any employee benefits for engaged candidates. This also means that Clipboard Health does not deduct taxes from payments it makes to professionals providing services on Clipboard's marketplace.
Note: You will only be eligible for employee benefits if you are hired directly by Select and under Select.
Can I extend my contract working with Select Medical Facilities?
Yes. A few weeks before your contract ends, your recruiter will contact the facility to see if they will be renewing or extending your contract. If the facility confirms, your recruiter will reach out to you regarding the new contract details. Once accepted, you will continue to work as usual until your new or extended contract ends.
Can I choose my schedule with Select Medical Facilities?
The schedule is created based on the facility's greater needs. However, you may speak to the house supervisor or scheduler to coordinate your availability.
Can I be floated to a different Select Medical Facility?
Yes. The facility may notify you ahead of time to float to a sister facility nearby. If this happens, please inform your recruiter so they can change the shift in the Clipboard Health app.
