Post shifts in bulk

The following locations can now post multiple identical shifts via the Post bulk shifts feature: 

• Los Angeles-Long Beach-Anaheim, CA

• Portland-Vancouver-Hillsboro, OR-WA

• New York-Newark-Jersey City, NY-NJ-PA

• Philadelphia-Camden-Wilmington, PA -NJ-DE-MD

• Pittsburgh, PA

• Kansas City, MO-KS

• San Diego-Chula Vista-Carlsbad, CA

About this feature

The Post bulk shifts feature now gives facilities the ability to post multiple identical shifts on their facility calendar much faster. Rather than posting each shift one by one, you can post identical reoccurring shifts, or multiple identical shifts for one day by selecting the Post bulk shift option in the Calendar page. 

How to post shifts in bulk

If you are in one of the areas where this feature is live you can choose to post individual shifts or post shifts in bulk. All other areas can post individual shifts with the blue Submit button on the Calendar page. 

When posting shifts in bulk, you can post identical recurring shifts or multiple identical shifts on one specific day. The worker type and shift type (AM/PM/NOC) must all be the same for each shift.  

Example: 

• You can post 3 CNA AM shifts every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for the next three weeks.
• You can post 5 CNA AM shifts on a specific day.
• You cannot post 2 CNA AM shift on Tuesday and 4 CNA AM shifts on Thursday.
• You cannot post 2 RN AM shifts and 2 CNA AM shifts.

You will have 2 different options when you are using the Post bulk shifts feature:

1. Post multiple identical shifts on 1 day
2. Post recurring identical shifts over multiple days

Post bulk shifts for 1 day:

1. Open your facility Clipboard Health account in the web app.
2. Select the Post bulk shifts button, on the right side of your screen.
3. In the "Worker type" field, select the type of professional you are posting for.
4. Choose the applicable "Shift type" (AM, PM or NOC).
5. In the "Openings per day" field select the number of these shifts needed that day.
   Example:  If you need 4 AM shifts on Thursday, you would enter the number 4.
6. Select the date that you need these shifts posted.
7. Review the Start and End times for the shifts (edit if needed)*.
8. Review the summary at the bottom and click "Submit (shifts)".
9. Immediately your shifts will appear on your calendar. Please review to ensure the shifts you have posted are correct.

* If the start and end time of the shifts need to be adjusted, exit out of the pop-up and edit the shift time on your calendar page. The adjusted times will now reflect in the Post bulk shift feature. 

Post recurring bulk shifts:

1. Open your facility Clipboard Health account in the web app.
2. Select the Post bulk shifts button on the right side of your screen.
3. In the "Worker type" field, select the type of professional you are posting for.
4. Choose the applicable "Shift type" (AM, PM or NOC).
5. In the "Openings per day" field select the number of these shifts per day needed.
   Example:  If you need 2 AM shifts on Thursday, and 2 AM shifts on Saturday, you would select 2 openings per day.
6. Select the start date.
7. Confirm the Start and End times of the shifts. (Edit if needed)*.
8. Toggle the "Recurring" option on so that it turns blue.
9. Confirm which days of the week the shifts need to be posted.
   Using the example from Step 5, you would select Thursday and Saturday.
10. Select the last date you need these shifts posted as the end date. (You can post recurring shifts over multiple weeks).
11. Review the summary at the bottom and click "Submit (shifts)".
12. Immediately your shifts will appear on your calendar. Please review to ensure the shifts you have posted are correct.

* If the start and end time of the shifts need to be adjusted, exit out of the pop-up and edit the shift time on your calendar page. The adjusted times will now reflect in the Post bulk shift feature.
