How do Shift Time Negotiations work?
Registered Dental Hygienists can propose an alternative shift time for a shift in the app. If a new shift time is proposed, you will receive an email notification and can check the proposals in the Clipboard desktop platform (currently not available in the facility mobile app).
You can choose to accept or decline when viewing your shift time negotiations as needed.
- Accepting a shift time proposal will book the professional to the shift and automatically update the start and end times of the shift according to the accepted proposal times. The negotiation then ends.
- Declining a shift time proposal ends this negotiation, and the shift will remain at the originally posted time. The shift can still be claimed at the original time.
Please note: you do not have to respond to proposals, and your shifts can still be claimed at the originally posted time if you do not respond to shift time proposals.
Where can I see shift time proposals?
You can see shift time proposals by selecting the "proposals" indicator on a shift card. This is the same option you will use to see pay rate proposals. Remember that shift time proposals will only appear on dental hygienist shifts, for these shifts, both pay rate and shift time negotiations will appear under the shift proposals.
You can see the details of a proposal in the box on the right when you click on a professional name. The new shift time, according to the proposal, can be seen in the bottom right corner, along with the option to accept or decline.
At this time, this feature can not be adjusted or turned off, however, we are still making updates and improvements and would love to hear your feedback.
