Update: Workplaces in all areas can request an Urgent shift!

When the app detects a potential no-call, no-show (NCNS), Clipboard Health will automatically convert your shift to a higher-paying Urgent Shift at no cost to you. In addition, all Workplaces can now manually request an Urgent Shift via the app, anytime you need us to find a last-minute replacement - at no additional cost to you.
Requesting an Urgent Shift
There are two scenarios that will enable you to request an urgent shift:
- When you mark a worker as a no-call, no-show.
- When a worker leaves their shift early.

Requesting an Urgent shift for a no-call, no-show.

When you initiate an NCNS via the Worker no show button, the app will prompt a pop-up that asks you to confirm the NCNS and if you would like to request a replacement worker at no additional cost.
- Check the No Call No Show confirmation box.
- Check the box that says, "I'd like to request a replacement worker at no additional cost," and we will create an Urgent shift to help find you a replacement.

Requesting an Urgent Shift when a worker leaves their shift early

If a worker leaves the building before the end of their shift without clocking out, starting their break, or making a sent-home request, we will notify you and ask if you need a replacement.
Should this happen you will receive a notification that prompts the following options:
- Click the blue "Do you need a replacement" text, then confirm your request for a replacement worker.
- This will list your shift as urgent and we will begin searching for your replacement.
- When a replacement worker books the shift, you will receive a notification, and the web app will update to display their information in the shift card.

Confirming a cancellation
- If we cannot confirm that a worker is on their way, we'll let you know and start looking for a replacement right away. You can see all of this as it happens in the web app, click here for more info.
- If you cancel a shift while we are looking for a replacement, a pop-up message will appear asking you to confirm the cancellation. Should you cancel the shift, any potential replacement shift will be canceled at the same time, so it's best to let the app work for you.
- You can still cancel the shift at any time, but please bear in mind that late cancellations may be subject to late cancellation charges depending on your agreement.
- You will not be charged for canceling a worker that shows an ETA 20 minutes or later than the shift start time, we will automatically waive any cancellation charge in this event.
