You can update your Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) for an upcoming shift directly via the app. If you're running late or you receive a notification to confirm your attendance, please make sure you update your ETA.
It's a good idea to always keep your ETA updated to ensure that a facility knows you are on your way, even if you are running late.
How to update your ETA
You can update your ETA through the following methods:
- My Shifts
- Facility Chat
Note: The option to update your ETA will become available 8 hours prior to your shift's start-time. However, your new ETA cannot be prior to the shift's start-time, nor too far past the shift's start-time.
Updating via "My Shifts"
- Go to My Shifts.
- Tap the shift you are running late for.
- Hit "Late for Shift".
- Set your new expected arrival time and the reason for running late in the spaces provided.
- Tap Update ETA at the bottom of your screen.
Attendance Confirmation
If you are running late and you have not updated your ETA yet, you will receive a notification prompting you to update your ETA using the "My Shifts" method described above. Please ensure that you update your ETA to ensure the facility is made aware of when to expect you. If you do not update your ETA, the facility may cancel the shift or may make the shift available to other professionals using Urgent Shifts.
Updating via Chat
- Tap the Chat icon in the top right corner of the app.
-
Find the "Running Late" message, and tap the blue Update ETA button.
- Set your new expected arrival time and the reason for running late in the spaces provided.
- Tap Update ETA at the bottom of your screen.
What happens when I update my ETA?
After confirming your new ETA and tapping Update ETA, a message will automatically be sent to the facility informing them of your new ETA.
Please be aware that facilities expect you to arrive on time for all scheduled shifts, and facilities reserve the right to decline any late arrivals. Shifts that are canceled or sent home due to late arrivals are not eligible for late cancellation or sent-home payment. Learn how to contact a facility with the chat feature here.
