Understanding Priority Access

If a professional receives a 4 or 5 star rating from your facility, they will be automatically added to your Favorites list. You can also like a professional's profile using the heart icon when looking through the Browse Workers page to add someone to your list of Favorites. Favorited professionals will receive Priority Access to all your shifts, which means they will have the ability to view and book shifts before other professionals on the marketplace can.

• The Priority Access window is open for 10% of the time between the time the shift becomes available and when the shift is scheduled to start (capped at a maximum of 6 hours).
• The Priority Access window only applies to newly posted shifts. Shifts that get re-opened due to a professional cancellation, account restriction, or DNR (Do Not Return request) will automatically go to all eligible professionals in your area. 
• In the event that there are no professionals available with Priority Access when you post your shift, the shift will be shared with all eligible professionals in your area.
• If you remove a professional from your Favorites by lowering their rating, they will not be removed from their upcoming shifts, but they will no longer have Priority Access. 

How do I add someone to my Priority Access list?

To add a professional to your Priority Access list, simply give them a 4 or 5 star rating. Click here to learn how to rate a professional.

Note: If you don't have an extensive list of Favorited professionals, we will automatically grant Priority Access to professionals who have a high attendance record at your facility. However, these professionals are not added to your Favorites and will not be exempt from restrictions (more details below).

How to view your Priority Access list?

Professionals who have Priority Access to your shifts can be found in your account via the web and mobile app.

1. Open the web or mobile app
2. Select the Workers tab (left panel on desktop, bottom menu on mobile)
3. Select Favorites

Note: If you have not developed your list of Favorites, you will see a “High attendance” label under their name instead.

How do I remove a professional from my Priority Access list?

To remove a professional from your Priority Access list, simply update their rating to 3 stars or less. Learn how to update a professional’s rating here.

A professional will automatically be removed from your favorites list if any of the following occur: 

• The professional is placed on the DNR list by your facility
• The professional commits a No-show at your facility.
• The professional commits 3 last-minute (8 hours or less pre-shift) cancellations at your facility within the last 30 days.

Restricted professionals

A professional's account is automatically placed on a 7-day restriction if their Attendance Score drops to a 0 or below.

Note:

Priority access is not available to professionals whose accounts are restricted. You can rate a professional whose account is restricted for 7 days and add them as a Favorite. We recommend using the Shift Invites feature to coordinate bookings directly if a professional's account is restricted. Please be aware that accounts that are restricted for 365 days cannot be rated or added as Favorites.
